Barbados is a year round holiday destination and Barbados holiday villas are always in demand.  There’s a great deal to see and do whatever your taste or budget.  Of course if your idea of a perfect holiday is to do nothing at all…  well we can easily arrange that !  We offer you the option of extra staff or services so you can just chill out and be taken care of.

Maybe you’d like to plan your holiday to coincide with one of the many annual events that take place in Barbados ?  There are many to choose from.

Of course Christmas in Barbados is something special.  Bajans go to town with the decorations and lights.  At night time it looks magical and seasonal music is played everywhere.  There is always a good reason for great food in Barbados and Christmas is definitely a time for feasting – we can even arrange for a private chef to prepare Christmas dinner for you, or a Christmas cake perhaps?.  

In January, once the New Year’s fireworks have died down, you can enjoy the Barbados Jazz Festival, showcasing the best in international and local jazz talent.  Also in January is the Barbados Horticultural Society’s Annual Flower Show.  The Barbados Horticultural Society has been exhibiting at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show since 1988 and to date the Society has won 15 Gold Medals; so you can be assured an amazing display at their show.

Holetown Festival takes place in February.  We have many repeat visitors who come back to stay in our Barbados holiday villas at this time of year and for this event.  Commemorating the anniversary of the first settlement of Barbados at Holetown in February 1627. The annual Holetown Festival celebrates with steel band performances, food and traditional crafts, spectacular street parades and historic exhibitions.

Another favourite with visitors and locals alike is Holders Season is in March.  It is a real extravaganza, a celebration of opera, music and theatre; the West Indies’ premier arts festival, held every year in the stunning setting of the 17th-century Holders House in St James.

Oistins Fish Festival is held over the Easter weekend every year. Try out freshly caught local fish, cooked while you wait, to your liking, as tasty as can be !  Take a look at the local crafts available for sale and enjoy the music and lively atmosphere.

In April there is the BGFA International Game Fishing Tournament, and fishing enthusiasts gather annually for this event.  It’s quite a spectacle watching the boats come in.

If Carnival is your thing, then you should visit Barbados for Crop Over.  The end of the year’s sugar cane season is celebrated in style at Bridgetown’s annual Crop Over Festival.  There are Calypso competitions and the exciting procession on Kadooment day.

Later in the year, you can celebrate Thanksgiving in Barbados.  Enjoy a family holiday, great food and wonderful weather.
