The west coast of Barbados is known as ‘The Platinum Coast’ because of its soft white sandy beaches. The tranquil, crystal clear turquoise Caribbean Sea laps the shoreline, and this makes it the perfect place for all kinds of water sports as well as swimming and snorkeling. Plenty of bars and restaurants are located along this coast and you may be lucky enough to spot a celebrity or two !
On our tour of the West Coast you will enjoy photo stops at five different beaches. The Caribbean Sea is calm and gently lapping, and always warm!
After the beaches you can enjoy a drive through the Sandy Lane Estate. The Sandy Lane Estate is a magnificent development of very luxurious, refined properties that have an ambiance of opulence. The legendary Sandy Lane Hotel – and its famous golf course – are located in this area.
Next on the agenda is a experience not to be forgotten – swimming with the turtles via a private rowing boat. Hawksbill, Green and Leatherback sea turtles can readily be seen in the seas around Barbados. Swimming with these giant, majestic creatures is something you’ll always remember. Because the sea is so calm and crystal clear on the west coast of Barbados, the friendly turtles will come in very close to the shoreline and you will be able to get really close to them.
