A really good place to eat in Barbados is Carizma on the Hill, the restaurant based at the exclusive Sugar Hill Resort in the parish of St James – on the west coast. Not only is Carizma within the fabulous grounds of Sugar Hill frequented by the well to do and famous (as well as us ordinary folk!), the view is magnificent and the menu extensive and affordable. The restaurant is open to everyone and access is easy. You will see their signs from the road.
If you’ve never been to Sugar Hill, you are missing a treat; don’t be put off by thinking it’s private and for residents only. Everyone is welcome at the restaurant and the team at Carizma are waiting for you! Just drive into the Sugar Hill Resort, say “Hello” to the friendly security staff and then turn right into the car park. It’s a very easy stroll along the pathway to the club house and there you will easily spot Carizma.
Whether you dine at Carizma in the day or at night time the view and atmosphere created by their team is second to none. The seating is comfortable and the ceiling fans keep everything nice and cool. You can of course just call in for a cocktail (or two) or maybe some cake – or both together. You can come to Carizma to relax and enjoy the early evening sunset.
There are regular Bowspring yoga classes on a Friday morning at Sugar Hill – come along and give it a try, then visit Carizma for a post class refreshing juice, smoothie or lunch with friends. It’s the perfect meeting place.
Our regular visitors may find the name: “Carizma” a little familiar? Yes, Carizma on the Hill is the sister restaurant to Cafe Carizma in the Chattel Village at Holetown. Another good place to eat in Barbados where, amongst other things, they serve the best breakfast in town!
At Carizma on the Hill there is plenty going on. Every Saturday there is a “Sunset BBQ” from 5pm-7pm. There are “Sundowners” every Tuesday from 6pm, live music every Friday evening and on a Sunday, you can kick back and linger over a lovely long lunch served from 12pm-4pm.
– Yorkshire pudding by the pool!
Don’t miss out. Come along and discover just what’s available. Bring your friends and family. Carizma on the Hill is open to residents of Sugar Hill, locals and of course holidaymakers. There is always a children’s menu available, so the little ones are catered for.
Be sure to factor it into your itinerary.
