Barbados beachfront apartment rental – two fabulous beachfront apartments in James Bay, on the West Coast of Barbados. The perfect location for your beachfront holiday. This plantation-style, pink and white timber and coral stone holiday home, built in 1988, comprises two spacious beachfront apartments (1730 sq ft each). Built to the classic dimensions of Raj-era officers quarters, the design incorporates the best of colonial styling, with jalousie shutters, limed timber paneling, coral-stone feature walls and huge, full-length balustrade verandas.
Attractively furnished with a beach lifestyle in mind, each apartment — lower (No. 4) and upper (No. 5) — sleeps four and has two comfortable, air-conditioned double/twin bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and separate WCs.
The open-plan living space has a well-equipped self catering kitchen and dining area set at one end, and a relaxed lounge at the other. Folding doors open out on to the private shaded veranda, which overlooks pawned gardens and the secluded white coral sands and sparkling turquoise water of beautiful James Bay.
James Bay apartments provide a comprehensive range of guest services, including daily full-day maid service, daily linen change (Bed linen, towels and beach towels), night watchman and gardener. We can also arrange for a cook to prepare and cook two meals a day of your choice.
A hire car is recommended. Baby-sitters can be arranged.
Self catering kitchen facilities include: full-size fridge freezer, full-size oven, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, juicer/blender, double sink, built-in drinking water filter, washing machine, spin dryer, ceiling fan.
Bedroom facilities include: twin beds which can be made into a king-size double, bedside tables and lamps, clock-radio, fitted wardrobe, dressing table with mirror and plenty of drawer space, ceiling fans, air conditioning.
En-suite bathroom facilities include: Twin sinks, shower, hairdryer, separate WC.
Lounge/dining room facilities include: satellite TV/VCR, direct-dial telephone, 3-seater sofa, 2 armchairs, coffee table, 6-seater dining table and chairs, ceiling fan.
Veranda facilities include: double hammock, coffee table, 4 plantation chairs, 4-seater dining table and chairs, ceiling fans.
Other facilities include: private parking, sun loungers, beach shower, charcoal barbeque.
The apartments are ideally located, close to Holetown and Speightstown. Watersports are available from the beach right in front of the property. The beach is perfect for swimming and snorkeling or just dreaming the day away!
If you love to be close to the ocean then a Barbados beachfront apartment at James Bay is for you. Also available at James Bay is the Beach Pavilion; a one bedroom studio, accommodating two people.

James Bay Apartments

This was the perfect treetop hideaway for our honeymoon. The style was described in a wall picture as ‘tropical colonial living’ – it had a shabby-chic / distressed style all of its own that was charming. The greatest asset of the apartment was its closeness to the beach – just through a gate at the end of the garden and the gorgeous views day or night of the Caribbean Sea.

An idyllic spot with the best view

Don’t go to Barbados in August they said, it’ll rain they said! They were right but after a sudden shower out comes the sun and all is well. We had the best stay at 4 James Bay – a top spot and great accommodation. We catered for ourselves and enjoyed our lunches and suppers on our verandah. Very relaxing and about twenty footsteps to the beach and what a beach. A ribbon of white soft sand and crystal blue clear sea lapping around your feet. When the new supermarket is open in Holetown, a stones throw away, it will be even easier. We love, love, loved our stay here and if you are able to meet Marc the owner you will certainly be able to take advantage of his unrivalled knowledge of this beautiful island!

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful holiday at James bay apartment. We stayed in apt 4. Everything was just perfect, and the house is a perfect location, on a beautiful beach, very quite, but at the same time quite close to Hometown where you can find literally anything you need. We hired a cook for our entire stay, and this helped us to be even more relaxed. We will certainly g back as soon as we can!

It’s tricky trying to choose the perfect honeymoon hideaway from a brochure when it’s pouring with rain and freezing cold in England, but James Bay Apartments are a little gem and has not only fulfilled our expectations, it’s surpassed them beyond all our dreams.
