SUNSET, a one bedroom Barbados beach studio, is one of just six similar apartments that comprise The Moorings, a newly renovated and modernised development at Fitts Village, St James – on the desirable west coast. The Moorings is located right next to a fabulous, picture postcard beach, and just across the road from shops and amenities, on a convenient bus route.  Guests at The Moorings have a communal garden, barbecue area and plunge pool.  There is everything you need for the perfect beach holiday in Barbados – with this beach front location you will not find better ocean views.

SUNSET is really well located.  Right across the road is a well-stocked supermarket, a pharmacy, Doctors surgery and convenient shops. There is a reasonably priced restaurant next door and you are a short bus ride or drive from some of the finest restaurants on the island.  Barbados is well known for its world class dining.  Fitts Village was once famous as a fishing village, and took its name from the local family that once owned a large area of land in the locale.  These days, Fitts Village is celebrated for its magnificent beach and as a favourite place to swim with the sea turtles.  All watersports are available, why not try water skiing or hire a jet ski?  Fitts Village retains an air of the “authentic” Barbados and local people here are very friendly and always pleased to meet visitors.

Getting around is easy as SUNSET one-bedroom beach studio is directly on the bus route which goes straight to Holetown, Bridgetown, the golf courses, or anywhere you want to go in Barbados. Buses are inexpensive and very frequent.  Alternatively, you might like to hire a car.  We are very happy to provide quotes for car hire and to make the arrangements for you.  Exploring the island is easy and there’s lots of things to see and do from tropical gardens to horse racing.  If you enjoy activities you will have plenty of choice, there are tennis courts in Holetown, as well as a yoga studio.  Horse riding along a white sandy beach is quite special as well as a catamaran cruise.  If relaxation is more your thing, we can recommend an excellent ‘spa at home’ service, you can enjoy a therapeutic massage under the stars after a busy day on the beach.

If you enjoy some retail therapy, you can head for the Limegrove Lifestyle Centre at Holetown, where you find a host of trendy cafes, restaurants and bars, nestling alongside designer shops with duty free purchasing opportunities.  You’ll even find a cinema.  If your tastes are more artisan, then head for Holders Farmers Market on a Sunday morning and enjoy local, organic produce, crafts and tasty treat to eat.

Inside SUNSET, the studio is airy and modern with tasteful, stylish décor.  There are ceiling fans throughout.  The bed is queen size, and the bedroom is air-conditioned.

The kitchen is newly fitted and contains all the equipment you will need for your holiday catering.  There is a washing machine and all towels and linens are provided.  You will find an iron and ironing board.

For your entertainment, there is a flat screen TV and complimentary wi-fi so you can keep in touch or even work if you have to.  For your security, there is a personal safe.

The property is ‘no smoking’ and parties or events are not allowed.  SUNSET is part of a small complex and so consideration is required for living alongside other guests.
